Our Impact
Our Story - We started our journey in 2021 .Post September 2021, when schools started opening up for class 11th and 12th, our team travelled extensively around the country understanding the challenges of rural and marginalised youth.
We began with a small team , working with 10 schools first in a hybrid mode and then with regular physical visits for classes and workshops.
It was a huge sense of achievement for us when we were able to get 100% scholarships for 40 youth during 2022.
Since then the movement has grown and it has been an upward journey. We are currently supporting a cohort of 450 youth from marginalised communities at 100% scholarship in various universities in India.
We are currently working with 100+ schools.
Access Program
Karta has a focused holistic approach towards supporting girls, first-generation learners, and youth (14-25-years) from marginalized backgrounds. Access Program prepares students for school to university transition through in-person and online support sessions and workshops. Students are provided with assistance in career guidance, curated career pathways, mentoring, and pool of resources for the smooth transition. In this program, Karta helps students to explore opportunities of higher education in Indian and International universities.
More than 4,000 students in govt schools have got support for school to university transition across the country.
Scholar Program
The Scholar Program is especially designed for the students to complete higher education successfully. It is offered to the young and bright students from marginalized communities from remote rural parts of India. Karta helps and facilitates marginalized youth to secure 100% scholarship through university and different funders. Karta ensures mentorship, internship, and workplace exposure for the scholars while keeping a strong focus on mental health, building individual and societal values among them.
More than 450 scholars supported by Karta in Indian and International universities with 100% scholarship in an ecosystem approach – mentorship and workplace exposure opportunities.
